Kannada-Tamil is a slang of Kannada-speaking people living in a non-Kannada-speaking state. It is especially common in states which border Karnataka, namely Tamil Nadu, Andhra Pradesh, Maharastra, or Kerala. Sometimes this is also known as Shanketi, where Kannada words are mixed in large proportions with other languages.[1][2]
