Joe Levin, September 21, 1874 - March 20, 1954, [1] was a Jewish Texan businessman and civic leader within the community of Brenham, Texas. As a leader of the Brenham kehilla, Joe Levin was a founder of B'Nai Abraham Synagogue, Brenham. [2]
Joe Levin is the father of Rosa Levin Toubin, an historian of the Brenham kehilla and Jewish Texas History. Joe Levin is the grandfather of Leon Toubin, the Brenham synagogue's present caretaker. [3] [4] Joe Levin and his wife Mary Levin, April 2, 1875 - August 6, 1945, are buried at B'nai Abraham Cemetery in Brenham. [1]
